Born and raised in Minnesota, Lynn began studying
music at an early age. After a few years of instruction in classical
piano, Lynn began composing simple melodies and folk songs!! Although
she had a passion for music, she pursued formal training in organic
chemistry and research. It was not long after graduating from college
however, that Lynn returned once again to her true love of writing songs.
She moved to New York City and to her amazement began getting work as
a vocalist ..."just enough to support my song writing habit." Lynn's
songs have been recorded by popular recording artists, and her voice
has been heard for years on National Television. After eight years in
New York City Lynn now takes pleasure in being a mother and homemaker.
While focusing on motherhood, Lynn continues to write songs, sing in
the church choir, and when she's lucky, she gets to sing duets with
Garrison Keillor.
Twelve years ago I sent my good friend Barb a
rough recording of one of my favorite hymns for Christmas. I thought
little of it at the time, but she cherished it! So, the next year I
tried another hymn, and the next year and the next year!!!! ...so was
born the concept for what my father cleverly named “HYMNS AND HERS.”
Our first project, Hymns for the Whole Family Volume I, will
be joined by Volume II later this year! Hymns For The Whole Family
Volume II will most likely include: Be Thou My Vision, America The
Beautiful, Precious Lord, How Great Thou Art, Softly and Tenderly Jesus
is Calling, All Creatures Of Our God and King, Crown Him With Many Crowns...

The Hymn Eternal Father Strong to Save
has held an esteemed place in our family for years. My father was a
Navy Pilot, and while stationed at Whiting Field, my mother became the
church organist on base. She faithfully played Eternal Father...
at the close of each service, as was the tradition. The powerful reverence
of this hymn moves me each time I sing it, and I dedicate it to all
the men and women who have served us in the military. I hope you enjoy
it, thank you from my heart.
